ABOUT THE ARTIST

Patrick Madison is a self-taught artist living in Macon, Georgia. He began working with stained glass in college and was particularly drawn to the geometric style of architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his use of glass and natural light to artistically illuminate and unify interior and exterior space.
“In my own work I like to optimize the effect of natural light using opalescent hand-cast art glass set in variations of clear glass. I also prefer to design in a way that compliments and enhances light and glass. I never want the complexity of the design to obscure the natural beauty of glass interacting with light."
In 2018 the United States Veterans’ Artists Alliance, an award-winning, multi-disciplinary non-profit arts organization founded by military veterans and artists, recognized Patrick Madison for his work in the art of stained glass. The USVAA honors deserving military veterans currently working in the arts, humanities, and entertainment industries, and past American military veterans who have made significant artistic and cultural contributions since the Revolutionary War.
